How Can We Breathe: The Policymakers & Community

January 7, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Update – Date Change!

We’re excited to engage with you, but we’re going to be moving the event to January 7, 2021. As we’re all adjusting to new priorities and realities with COVID-19 right now, we want to give everyone a little extra bit of breathing room over these next few weeks. Please take care of yourselves over the next few weeks and continue to engage in solidarity with people fighting for justice. If you’d like to watch the previous sessions of the series online, you can check them out at https://www.howcanwebreathe.org/

In the final community circle of the How Can We Breathe series, Policy-Makers and Community will share their experiences in challenging systemic racism and working to create a more just Minnesota.

Over the course of this series, participants have learned from The Mamas, Elders and Youth, and Artists and Meaning-Makers as they shared their experiences in advocating for social change. Together we have reflected, communicated, grown, and networked within this space, building strong community bonds. In the series finale of How Can We Breathe, join as we identify strategies and resources advocates and allies for a racially just society use to ensure that African Americans are fully empowered within our democracy. Share your stories of how you’ve already been a part of building a strong and connected society!
